Media advisory: Health sector to rally for health at the heart of the Zero Carbon Bill

Doctors, nurses and health sector workers will gather on the steps of Parliament from 12.30pm this Thursday 29 August in support of colleagues submitting on the Zero Carbon Bill. Climate change is potentially the biggest threat to public health this century and we are calling for health at the heart of the Zero Carbon Bill.

Dr Alexandra Macmillan, Co-convenor of OraTaiao: NZ Climate & Health Council, will be heard by the Environment Select Committee in the morning of 29 August alongside colleagues from organisations representing more than 55,000 health professionals. This will be followed by the gathering on Parliament steps.
