Climate and Health Summit, Katowice, Poland, 8 December 2018, 1-5pm
The World Health Organization, together with the Global Climate and Health Alliance, the European Committee of the Regions, and the Pro Silesia Association, are hosting Summit on climate change and health, alongside the UNFCCC Conference of Parties in Katowice. See here.

The 2018 State of Public Health lecture: Bigger than the 1918 flu? Tackling this century's public health emergency, Otago Museum, Dunedin, 15 November 2018, 12-1pm
OraTaiao Co-convenors Dr Alexandra Macmillan and Dr Rhys Jones spoke on the implications of climate change for health and fairness in Aotearoa, and asked, what can be learnt from last century's public health emergency in dealing with this global threat?  See poster here.

What An Alternative & Progressive Trade Strategy Should Look Like, Fale Pasifika, University Of Auckland, 19 – 20 October 2018
This hui featured ten panels in conversation with a focus on alternative and progressive trade strategy. The event was organised by It's Our Future, and OraTaiao Executive board member Dr George Laking spoke at the event. See more here

The summit was organised by The Climate Group and united leaders from around the world to showcase actions that governments, companies and investors have taken to reduce their emissions. See here for more information.

Wellington After Paris: Zero Carbon Capital City, Wellington, 15 September 2018
The Wellington Civic Trust organised a “Wellington after Paris” seminar providing an insight into the benefits to the city’s wellbeing, resiliency, and natural and cultural heritage as we transition to carbon neutrality. OraTaiao executive board member Dr Russell Trepanning presented at the event. See more information here.

Sustainable Healthcare Forum, Wellington, 24th Nov 2017 (see flyer here): Human health relies on a healthy planet – health care without harm?
Organised by OraTaiao: The NZ Climate and Health Council and the Sustainable Health Sector National Network NZ, with support from the University of Otago and the Deep South National Science Challenge Engagement Fund. Forum on how the health sector (and the delivery of healthcare) in Aotearoa-NZ can contribute to meeting the challenges of climate change and sustainability.
