OraTaiao Strategic Planning Meeting, Wellington, 16 February 2019, 9am-3.30pm
We are holding our 2-yearly Strategic Planning Meeting at the medical school in Wellington on Saturday 16 February. All members are welcome to attend and provide input. We will use the day to develop OraTaiao’s strategic direction and priorities for the next two years. As well as that, it is a great (and relatively rare) chance to catch up face-to-face. We will begin with morning tea at 9am for a 9.30am start. Members please check your emails for details.

Sustainable health care forum, Wellington, 8 May 2019, 8am-5pm
Organised by the Sustainable Health Sector National Network, the overarching theme of the forum is ‘The Zero Carbon Bill and the implications for health and the healthcare sector’, with a focus on green buildings and sustainable procurement/supply chain. Wellington After Paris: Zero Carbon Capital City, Wellington, 15 September 2018
The Wellington Civic Trust organised a “Wellington after Paris” seminar providing an insight into the benefits to the city’s wellbeing, resiliency, and natural and cultural heritage as we transition to carbon neutrality. Organised by OraTaiao: The NZ Climate and Health Council and the Sustainable Health Sector National Network NZ, with support from the University of Otago and the Deep South National Science Challenge Engagement Fund. Forum on how the health sector (and the delivery of healthcare) in Aotearoa-NZ can contribute to meeting the challenges of climate change and sustainability.
