OraTaiao: NZ Climate & Health Council is seeking a dynamic co-ordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a 600-member health professional organisation taking public health action towards healthy climate policy. We know that climate change is one of the largest public health threats facing us, but also a major opportunity for improving health and fairness through well-designed action.

Our recent achievements include the new ministerial health portfolio on climate change and health, and commitments from the Ministry of Health to develop a climate change and health action plan, and a heat health action plan. We also work with other climate NGOs on the Zero Carbon Act and NZ’s contribution to the international climate negotiations.

This opportunity is for a flexible 8 hours per week position for 12 months, working with our two national Co-Convenors and our committed and harmonious national Executive Board. Location is flexible. We are looking for a talented and motivated NGO co-ordinator to support our advocacy.
